The Family of Adam(A)
5 This is the book of the (B)genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in (C)the likeness of God. 2 He created them (D)male and female, and (E)blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son (F)in his own likeness, after his image, and (G)named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, (H)the days of Adam were eight hundred years; (I)and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; (J)and he died.
6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot (K)Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot [a]Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot (L)Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch (M)walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And (N)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (O)took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name (P)Noah,[b] saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground (Q)which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot (R)Shem, Ham, (S)and Japheth.

9 La vârsta de nouăzeci de ani, lui Enoş i s-a născut Chenan. 10 După naşterea lui Chenan, Enoş a mai trăit opt sute cincisprezece ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 11 Astfel, Enoş a trăit în total nouă sute cinci ani; apoi a murit.
12 La vârsta de şaptezeci de ani, lui Chenan i s-a născut Mahalalel. 13 După naşterea lui Mahalalel, Chenan a mai trăit opt sute patruzeci de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 14 Astfel, Chenan a trăit în total nouă sute zece ani; apoi a murit.
15 La vârsta de şaizeci şi cinci de ani, lui Mahalalel i s-a născut Iared. 16 După naşterea lui Iared, Mahalalel a mai trăit opt sute treizeci de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 17 Astfel, Mahalalel a trăit în total opt sute nouăzeci şi cinci de ani; apoi a murit.
18 La vârsta de o sută şaizeci şi doi de ani, lui Iared i s-a născut Enoh. 19 După naşterea lui Enoh, Iared a mai trăit opt sute de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 20 Astfel, Iared a trăit în total nouă sute şaizeci şi doi de ani; apoi a murit.
21 La vârsta de şaizeci şi cinci de ani, lui Enoh i s-a născut Metuşelah. 22 După naşterea lui Metuşelah, Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu trei sute de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 23 Astfel, toate zilele lui Enoh au fost de trei sute şaizeci şi cinci de ani. 24 Enoh a umblat cu Dumnezeu; apoi n-a mai fost găsit, pentru că Dumnezeu l-a luat.
25 La vârsta de o sută optzeci şi şapte de ani, lui Metuşelah i s-a născut Lameh. 26 După naşterea lui Lameh, Metuşelah a mai trăit şapte sute optzeci şi doi de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 27 Astfel, Metuşelah a trăit în total nouă sute şaizeci şi nouă de ani; apoi a murit.
28 La vârsta de o sută optzeci şi doi de ani, lui Lameh i s-a născut un fiu 29 căruia i-a pus numele Noe[d], zicând: „El ne va mângâia în munca şi truda mâinilor noastre care vin din pământul pe care Domnul l-a blestemat. 30 După naşterea lui Noe, Lameh a mai trăit cinci sute nouăzeci şi cinci de ani şi i s-au mai născut şi alţi copii: fii şi fiice. 31 Astfel, Lameh a trăit în total şapte sute şaptezeci şi şapte de ani; apoi a murit.
32 La vârsta de cinci sute de ani, lui Noe i s-au născut Sem, Ham şi Iafet.

5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.
9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:
10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:
11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.
12 And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel:
13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:
14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:
16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
