30 Joseph hurried out for [a](A)he was deeply stirred over his brother, and he sought a place to weep; and he entered his chamber and (B)wept there. 31 Then he washed his face and came out; and he (C)controlled himself and said, “[b]Serve the meal.” 32 So they served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians could not eat bread with the Hebrews, for that is [c](D)loathsome to the Egyptians.

New International Version
30 Deeply moved(A) at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept(B) there.
31 After he had washed his face, he came out and, controlling himself,(C) said, “Serve the food.”(D)
32 They served him by himself, the brothers by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because Egyptians could not eat with Hebrews,(E) for that is detestable to Egyptians.(F)

30 And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.
31 And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.
32 And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
