24 When the steward[a] had brought the men into Joseph’s house and given them water, and they had washed their feet, and when he had given their donkeys fodder,(A) 25 they made the present ready for Joseph’s coming at noon, for they had heard that they would dine there.
26 When Joseph came home, they brought him the present that they had carried into the house and bowed to the ground before him.(B)

24 The steward took the men into Joseph’s house,(A) gave them water to wash their feet(B) and provided fodder for their donkeys. 25 They prepared their gifts(C) for Joseph’s arrival at noon,(D) because they had heard that they were to eat there.
26 When Joseph came home,(E) they presented to him the gifts(F) they had brought into the house, and they bowed down before him to the ground.(G)
