⁸ Now in the morning ^(A)his spirit was troubled, so he sent messengers and called for all the ^(B)soothsayer priests of Egypt, and all its ^(C)wise men. And Pharaoh told them his ^[a]dreams, but ^(D)there was no one who could interpret them for Pharaoh.

^22 (A)But the soothsayer priests of Egypt did the same with their secret arts; and Pharaoh’s heart was ^[a]hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

² Then the king ^[a]gave orders to call in the ^(A)soothsayer priests, the conjurers, the sorcerers, and the ^[b]Chaldeans, to ^[c]tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.

⁸ Just as ^(A)Jannes and Jambres ^(B)opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, ^(C)men of depraved mind, ^[a]worthless in regard to the faith.
