²⁹Behold, there shall come seven years of great plenty in the whole land of Egypt:

³⁰After which shall follow other seven years of so great scarcity, that all the abundance before shall be forgotten: for the famine shall consume all the land,

²⁹Seven years of great abundance^(A) are coming throughout the land of Egypt, ³⁰but seven years of famine^(B) will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land.^(C) ³¹The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe.
