4 and Abel offered the firstborn of his flock and their fat offerings. The Lord was pleased with Abel and his offering, 5 but he was not pleased with Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry and his countenance fell.

4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions(A) from some of the firstborn of his flock.(B) The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,(C) 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry?(D) Why is your face downcast?
