Descendientes de Esaú (1 Cr 1,34-54)
36 Estos son los descendientes de Esaú, o sea Edom. 2 Esaú se casó con mujeres cananeas: con Adá, hija del hitita Elón; con Olibamá, hija de Aná y nieta de Sibeón el jeveo; 3 y con Basemat, hija de Ismael y hermana de Nebayot. 4 El hijo que Adá dio a Esaú fue Elifaz; Basemat dio a luz a Reguel; 5 y Olibamá dio a luz a Jeús, Jalón y Coraj. Estos son los hijos que le nacieron a Esaú en tierra de Canaán.
6 Esaú tomó a sus esposas junto con sus hijos e hijas y a todos los que vivían con él, todos sus rebaños y ganados y cuanto había adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y se fue a otra región, lejos de su hermano Jacob. 7 Era tanto lo que poseían los dos que ya no podían vivir juntos; además, la tierra donde vivían no bastaba para alimentar al ganado de ambos. 8 Fue así como Esaú, o sea Edom, se asentó en la región montañosa de Seír.
9 Estos son los descendientes de Esaú, padre de los edomitas, en la montaña de Seír. 10 Los nombres de los hijos de Esaú son estos: Elifaz, hijo de Adá y Esaú; y Reguel, hijo de Basemat y Esaú. 11 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron: Temán, Omar, Sefó, Gatán y Quenaz. 12 Elifaz tuvo una concubina llamada Timná, la cual le dio un hijo que se llamó Amalec. Estos fueron los descendientes de Adá, mujer de Esaú. 13 Los hijos de Reguel fueron: Nájat, Zéraj, Samá y Mizá. Estos fueron los descendientes de Basemat, mujer de Esaú. 14 Los hijos de Olibamá, mujer de Esaú, hija de Aná y nieta de Sibeón, fueron: Jeús, Jalón y Coraj.
15 Los jefes de tribu de los descendientes de Esaú fueron: De los hijos de Elifaz, primogénito de Esaú, los jefes de tribu fueron: Temán, Omar, Sefó, Quenaz, 16 Coraj, Gatán y Amalec.
Estos fueron los jefes de tribu de Elifaz en la tierra de Edom, todos ellos descendientes de Adá. 17 De los hijos de Reguel, hijo de Esaú, los jefes de tribu fueron: Nájat, Zéraj, Samá y Mizá.
Estos fueron los jefes de tribu de Reguel en la tierra de Edom, todos ellos descendientes de Basemat, mujer de Esaú. 18 De los hijos de Olibamá, hija de Aná y mujer de Esaú, los jefes de tribu fueron: Jeús, Jalón y Coraj. 19 Estos fueron los hijos de Esaú, o sea Edom, y sus jefes de tribus.
20 Los hijos de Seír, el jorreo, que vivía en aquella región, fueron: Lotán, Sobal, Sibeón, Aná, 21 Disón, Éser y Disán. Estos fueron los jefes de tribu de los jorreos, hijos de Seír, en la tierra de Edom. 22 Los hijos de Lotán fueron: Jorí y Hemán. Lotán tenía una hermana llamada Timná. 23 Los hijos de Sobal fueron: Alván, Manajat, Ébal, Sefó y Onán. 24 Los hijos de Sibeón fueron: Ayá y Aná. Este Aná fue el que encontró en el desierto aguas termales mientras apacentaba los asnos de su padre Sibeón. 25 Los hijos de Aná fueron: Disón y Olibamá, hija de Aná. 26 Los hijos de Disón fueron: Jemdán, Esbán, Jitrán y Querán. 27 Los hijos de Éser fueron: Bilán, Zaaván y Acán. 28 Los hijos de Disán fueron: Us y Arán.
29 Los jefes de las tribus de los jorreos fueron: Lotán, Sobal, Sibeón, Aná, 30 Disón, Éser y Disán.
Estos fueron los jefes de las tribus de los jorreos. Cada uno de ellos fue jefe de su tribu en la región de Seír.
Los reyes de Edom
31 Antes de que los israelitas tuvieran rey, estos fueron los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom: 32 Bela, hijo de Beor, reinó en Edom; el nombre de su capital era Dinhabá. 33 Cuando Bela murió lo sucedió en el trono Jobab, hijo de Zeraj de Bosrá; 34 a Jobab lo sucedió Jusán, natural de Temán; 35 a Jusán lo sucedió Adad, hijo de Badad, que derrotó a Madián en los campos de Moab; el nombre de su capital era Avit. 36 A Adad lo sucedió Samlá de Masrecá; 37 a Samlá lo sucedió Saúl de Rejobot Janajar; 38 a Saúl lo sucedió Baaljanán, hijo de Acbor; 39 a Baaljanán, hijo de Acbor, lo sucedió Adar; su capital se llamaba Pau y su mujer Metabel, hija de Matrad, hija de Mezaab.
40 Estos son los nombres de los jefes de tribu de Esaú según su clan, región y nombre: Timná, Alvá, Jetet, 41 Olibamá, Elá, Finón, 42 Quenaz, Temán, Mibsar, 43 Magdiel e Irán.
Estos fueron los jefes de tribu de Edom, de acuerdo con los lugares que habitaron en el territorio de su propiedad.
Este es Esaú, antepasado de los edomitas.

The Family of Esau(A)
36 Now this is the genealogy of Esau, (B)who is Edom. 2 (C)Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the (D)Hittite; (E)Aholibamah[a] the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite; 3 and (F)Basemath, Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth. 4 Now (G)Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, and Basemath bore Reuel. 5 And [b]Aholibamah bore Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
6 Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the persons of his household, his cattle and all his animals, and all his goods which he had gained in the land of Canaan, and went to a country away from the presence of his brother Jacob. 7 (H)For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together, and (I)the land where they were strangers could not support them because of their livestock. 8 So Esau dwelt in (J)Mount Seir. (K)Esau is Edom.
9 And this is the genealogy of Esau the father of the Edomites in Mount Seir. 10 These were the names of Esau’s sons: (L)Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, and Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau. 11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, [c]Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, Esau’s son, and she bore (M)Amalek to Eliphaz. These were the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife.
13 These were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife.
14 These were the sons of [d]Aholibamah, Esau’s wife, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon. And she bore to Esau: Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah.
The Chiefs of Edom
15 These were the chiefs of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn son of Esau, were Chief Teman, Chief Omar, Chief Zepho, Chief Kenaz, 16 [e]Chief Korah, Chief Gatam, and Chief Amalek. These were the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. They were the sons of Adah.
17 These were the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son: Chief Nahath, Chief Zerah, Chief Shammah, and Chief Mizzah. These were the chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom. These were the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife.
18 And these were the sons of [f]Aholibamah, Esau’s wife: Chief Jeush, Chief Jaalam, and Chief Korah. These were the chiefs who descended from Aholibamah, Esau’s wife, the daughter of Anah. 19 These were the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these were their chiefs.
The Sons of Seir
20 (N)These were the sons of Seir (O)the Horite who inhabited the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, 21 Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 And the sons of Lotan were Hori and [g]Hemam. Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23 These were the sons of Shobal: [h]Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, [i]Shepho, and Onam.
24 These were the sons of Zibeon: both Ajah and Anah. This was the Anah who found the [j]water in the wilderness as he pastured (P)the donkeys of his father Zibeon. 25 These were the children of Anah: Dishon and [k]Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26 These were the sons of [l]Dishon: [m]Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran. 27 These were the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and [n]Akan. 28 These were the sons of Dishan: (Q)Uz and Aran.
29 These were the chiefs of the Horites: Chief Lotan, Chief Shobal, Chief Zibeon, Chief Anah, 30 Chief Dishon, Chief Ezer, and Chief Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
The Kings of Edom
31 (R)Now these were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel: 32 Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his city was Dinhabah. 33 And when Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place. 34 When Jobab died, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place. 35 And when Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad, who attacked Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith. 36 When Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place. 37 And when Samlah died, Saul of (S)Rehoboth-by-the-River reigned in his place. 38 When Saul died, Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place. 39 And when Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor died, [o]Hadar reigned in his place; and the name of his city was [p]Pau. His wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
The Chiefs of Esau
40 And these were the names of the chiefs of Esau, according to their families and their places, by their names: Chief Timnah, Chief [q]Alvah, Chief Jetheth, 41 Chief [r]Aholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon, 42 Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar, 43 Chief Magdiel, and Chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom, according to their dwelling places in the land of their possession. Esau was the father of [s]the Edomites.
