7 (A)For their possessions had become too great for them to [a]live together, and the (B)land where they (C)sojourned could not sustain them because of their livestock. 8 So Esau lived in the hill country of (D)Seir; Esau is (E)Edom.

9 These then are the generations of Esau the father of [b]the Edomites in the hill country of Seir.
