¹¹ The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, ^[a]Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.

⁴⁵ When Jobab died, Husham of the land of ^(A)the Temanites became king in his place.

¹¹ Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, they came each one from his own place, Eliphaz the ^(A)Temanite, Bildad the ^(B)Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to ^(C)sympathize with him and comfort him.

Prophecy against Edom

¹³ therefore thus says the Lord God, “I will also ^(A)stretch out My hand against Edom and ^(B)cut off man and beast from it. And I will lay it waste; from ^(C)Teman even to ^(D)Dedan they will fall by the sword.
