Genesis 35:4-6

4 They gave Jacob all the foreign gods in their possession and the earrings they had in their ears. Jacob left them under the oak near Shechem. 5 They then journeyed on, and a great terror came upon the people who lived in that area, so they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.
6 Jacob and all the people who were with him arrived in Luz, that is, Bethel, which is in the land of Canaan.

4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears,(A) and Jacob buried them under the oak(B) at Shechem.(C) 5 Then they set out, and the terror of God(D) fell on the towns all around them so that no one pursued them.(E)
