¹⁰ “No, please!” said Jacob. “If I have found favor in your eyes,^(A) accept this gift^(B) from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God,^(C) now that you have received me favorably.^(D)

³⁸ It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and he will bear the guilt^(A) involved in the sacred gifts the Israelites consecrate, whatever their gifts may be. It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable^(B) to the Lord.

⁴ You are to lay your hand on the head^(A) of the burnt offering,^(B) and it will be accepted^(C) on your behalf to make atonement^(D) for you.

⁸ When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals,^(A) is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased^(B) with you? Would he accept you?” says the Lord Almighty.^(C)
