Sin’s Consequences

⁸ Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze,^[a] and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.^{(A) 9} So the Lord God called out to the man and said to him, ‘Where are you? ’

¹⁰ And he said, ‘I heard you^[b] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.’
