¹⁶ Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham ^(A)weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the ^[a]presence of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency acceptable to a merchant.

^19 (A)He bought the plot of land where he had pitched his tent from the hand of the sons of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for a hundred ^[a]pieces of money.

¹³ for his sons carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in ^(A)the cave of the field of Machpelah opposite Mamre, which Abraham had bought along with the field as a ^[a]burial site from Ephron the Hittite.

³² Now ^(A)they buried the bones of Joseph, which the sons of Israel brought up from Egypt, at Shechem, in the plot of land ^(B)which Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred ^[a]pieces of money; and they became the inheritance of Joseph’s sons.
