² “Take your son,” He said, “your only son Isaac, whom you love,^(A) go to the land of Moriah,^(B) and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”

²⁴ “You must make an earthen altar for Me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats, as well as your cattle. I will come to you and bless you in every place where I cause My name to be remembered.^(A)

⁵ Aaron’s sons will burn it on the altar along with the burnt offering^(A) that is on the burning wood, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
