²³ And Adam said:

²⁷ Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and ^(A)let not our hand be upon him, for he is ^(B)our brother and ^(C)our flesh.” And his brothers listened.

5 Then all the tribes of Israel ^(B)came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Indeed ^(C)we are your bone and your flesh.

^13 (A)And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? ^(B)God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me ^[a]continually in place of Joab.’ ”
