Genesis 2:17-19

¹⁷But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

¹⁸Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.

¹⁹And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.

New International Version

¹⁷but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,^(A) for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”^(B)

¹⁸The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”^(C)

¹⁹Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals^(D) and all the birds in the sky.^(E) He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called^(F) each living creature,^(G) that was its name.
