5 Then Sarai said to Abram, ‘You are responsible for my suffering![a] I put my slave in your arms,[b] and when she saw that she was pregnant, I became contemptible to her. May the Lord judge between me and you.’(A)
6 Abram replied to Sarai, ‘Here, your slave is in your power; do whatever you want with her.’ Then Sarai mistreated her so much that she ran away from her.
7 The angel of the Lord(B) found her by a spring in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur.

5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my slave in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.”(A)
6 “Your slave is in your hands,(B)” Abram said. “Do with her whatever you think best.” Then Sarai mistreated(C) Hagar; so she fled from her.
7 The angel of the Lord(D) found Hagar near a spring(E) in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur.(F)
