Genesis 15:13-15

13 And he said to Abram, “You must surely know[a] that your descendants shall be as aliens in a land not their own.[b] And they shall serve them[c] and they[d] shall oppress them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation that they[e] serve I will judge. Then[f] afterward they shall go out with great possessions. 15 And as for you, you shall go to your ancestors[g] in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.

13 Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years(A) your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved(B) and mistreated there. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out(C) with great possessions.(D) 15 You, however, will go to your ancestors(E) in peace and be buried at a good old age.(F)
