¹⁷ Arise, ^(A)walk about the land through its length and breadth; for ^(B)I will give it to you.”

⁷ And He said to him, “I am the Lord who brought you out of ^(A)Ur of the Chaldeans, to ^(B)give you this land to ^[a]possess it.”

^8 (A)I will give to you and to your ^[a]descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and ^(B)I will be their God.”

⁷ Did You not, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and ^(A)give it to the descendants of ^(B)Abraham Your friend forever?

⁵ But He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot of ground, and yet, even when he had no child, ^(A)He promised that He would give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him.
