^2 (A)The sons of Japheth were ^(B)Gomer, Magog, ^(C)Madai, ^(D)Javan, Tubal, ^(E)Meshech, and Tiras. ³ The sons of Gomer were ^(F)Ashkenaz, ^[a]Riphath, and ^(G)Togarmah. ⁴ The sons of Javan were Elishah, ^(H)Tarshish, Kittim, and ^[b]Dodanim. ⁵ From these the people of the coastlands of the nations ^[c]were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.

¹⁹ And I will put a ^(A)sign among them and send survivors from them to the nations: ^(B)Tarshish, ^[a]Put, ^(C)Lud, ^[b]Meshech, ^(D)Tubal, and ^[c]Javan, to the distant ^(E)coastlands that have neither heard of My fame nor seen My glory. And they will ^(F)declare My glory among the nations.
