¹⁷ I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring ^(A)as the stars of heaven and ^(B)as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess ^(C)the gate of his^[a] enemies,

¹² But ^(A)you said, ‘I will surely do you good, and make your offspring as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.’”

¹² And the Midianites and the Amalekites and ^(A)all the people of the East lay along the valley like locusts in abundance, and their camels were without number, ^(B)as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance.
