21-24 Henoch was vijfenzestig jaar oud toen zijn zoon Metuselach werd geboren. Hij leefde daarna nog driehonderd jaar als trouwe dienaar van God. Hij kreeg nog meer zonen en dochters en toen hij driehonderdvijfenzestig jaar oud was geworden, verdween hij. God had hem van de aarde weggenomen.

21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch (A)walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And (B)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (C)took him.

21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch (A)walked with God[a] after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch (B)walked with God, and he was not,[b] (C)for God took him.
