Tako mu je dala svoju sluškinju Bilhu za ženu, a Jakov je spavao s njom. Bilha je zatrudnjela i rodila mu sina.

Tada je Rahela rekla: »Bog je presudio u moju korist. Čuo je moju molitvu i dao mi sina.« Zato ga je nazvala Dan[a].

Rahelina sluškinja Bilha ponovo je zatrudnjela i rodila Jakovu drugog sina. Rahela je tada rekla: »Žestoka je bila borba s mojom sestrom, ali pobijedila sam.« Zato mu je dala ime Naftali[b].

So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife.(A) Jacob slept with her,(B) and she became pregnant and bore him a son. Then Rachel said, “God has vindicated me;(C) he has listened to my plea and given me a son.”(D) Because of this she named him Dan.[a](E)

Rachel’s servant Bilhah(F) conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. Then Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won.”(G) So she named him Naphtali.[b](H)
