⁵³ Then the seven years of plenty which were in the land of Egypt ended,

²⁵ But Abraham said, ‘Son, ^(A)remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

²⁹ Indeed ^(A)seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the land of Egypt; ³⁰ but after them seven years of famine will ^(B)arise, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine ^(C)will deplete the land. ³¹ So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe.
