The Birth of Esau and Jacob

¹⁹ These are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: ^(A)Abraham fathered Isaac,

^2 (A)Abraham was the father of Isaac, and ^(B)Isaac the father of Jacob, and ^(C)Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,

^34 (A)the son of Jacob, ^(B)the son of Isaac, ^(C)the son of Abraham, ^(D)the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,

⁸ And ^(A)he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And ^(B)so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and ^(C)circumcised him on the eighth day, and ^(D)Isaac became the father of Jacob, and ^(E)Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.

^32 (A)The sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
