(A)You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying (B)the truth? This persuasion is not from (C)him who calls you. (D)A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 (E)I have confidence in the Lord that you will (F)take no other view, and (G)the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is. 11 But if I, brothers,[a] still preach[b] circumcision, (H)why am I still being persecuted? In that case (I)the offense of the cross has been removed. 12 I wish (J)those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. (K)Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love (L)serve one another. 14 For (M)the whole law is fulfilled in one word: (N)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you (O)bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.

Keep in Step with the Spirit

16 But I say, (P)walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify (Q)the desires of the flesh. 17 For (R)the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, (S)to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are (T)led by the Spirit, (U)you are not under the law. 19 Now (V)the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, (W)divisions, 21 envy,[c] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that (X)those who do[d] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But (Y)the fruit of the Spirit is (Z)love, joy, peace, patience, (AA)kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 (AB)gentleness, (AC)self-control; (AD)against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus (AE)have crucified the flesh with its (AF)passions and desires.

25 If we live by the Spirit, (AG)let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 (AH)Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Bear One Another's Burdens

Brothers,[e] (AI)if anyone is caught in any transgression, (AJ)you who are spiritual should restore him in (AK)a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. (AL)Bear one another's burdens, and (AM)so fulfill (AN)the law of Christ. For (AO)if anyone thinks he is something, (AP)when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one (AQ)test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For (AR)each will have to bear his own load.

(AS)Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.
