18 For (A)if the inheritance is [a]based on law, it is no longer [b]based on a promise; but (B)God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

19 (C)Why the Law then? It was added [c]because of transgressions, having been (D)ordained through angels (E)by the [d]agency of a mediator, until (F)the seed would come to whom the promise had been made. 20 Now (G)a mediator is not [e]for one party only; whereas God is only one.
