16 Căci mi-aţi trimis în Tesalonic, o dată şi chiar de două ori, ceva pentru nevoile mele. 17 Nu că umblu după daruri. Dimpotrivă, umblu după câştigul(A) care prisoseşte în folosul vostru. 18 Am de toate şi sunt în belşug. Sunt bogat de când am primit prin Epafrodit(B) ce mi-aţi trimis…, un miros(C) de bună mireasmă, o jertfă(D) bine primită şi plăcută lui Dumnezeu.

16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(A) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(B) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(C) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(D) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(E) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
