¹⁴ And ^(A)the elders of the Jews ^[a]were successful in building through the prophecy of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And ^[b]they finished building following the command of the God of Israel and the decree ^(B)of Cyrus, ^(C)Darius, and ^(D)Artaxerxes king of Persia.

¹⁵ Now this ^[a]temple was completed ^[b]on the third day of the ^(A)month Adar; it was the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

⁹ “The hands of Zerubbabel have ^(A)laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will ^(B)finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of armies has sent me to ^[a]you.
