8 You have not kept charge of my holy things, but you have assigned foreigners[a] to keep charge of my sanctuary for you. 9 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No foreigner who is uncircumcised in heart and flesh among all the foreigners who are among the people of Israel will enter into my sanctuary.[b]
10 “‘But the Levites who went far from me, straying off from me after their idols when Israel went astray, will be responsible for[c] their sin.

8 Instead of carrying out your duty in regard to my holy things, you put others in charge of my sanctuary.(A) 9 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites.(B)
10 “‘The Levites who went far from me when Israel went astray(C) and who wandered from me after their idols must bear the consequences of their sin.(D)
