Yahweh said to me, “This gate shall be shut. It shall not be opened, no man shall enter in by it; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has entered in by it. Therefore it shall be shut. As for the prince, he shall sit in it as prince to eat bread before Yahweh. He shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate, and shall go out the same way.”

Then he brought me by the way of the north gate before the house; and I looked, and behold, Yahweh’s glory filled Yahweh’s house; so I fell on my face.

The Lord said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it.(A) It is to remain shut because the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it. The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence(B) of the Lord. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.(C)

Then the man brought me by way of the north gate(D) to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the Lord filling the temple(E) of the Lord, and I fell facedown.(F)
