⁷ Each recess was 3.2 metres long and 3.2 metres deep, and there was a space of 2.65 metres^[a] between the recesses. The inner threshold of the gate on the temple side next to the gate’s portico was 3.2 metres. ⁸ Next he measured the gate’s portico; ⁹ it^[b] was 4.2 metres,^[c] and its jambs were 1.1 metres.^[d] The gate’s portico was on the temple side.
