Ezekiel 36:2-4

2 Thus says the Lord God, The enemy has gloated over you, saying: “Aha! These ancient heights have become our possession.”
3 In reply, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Since you have been ravaged and hounded from all sides, and thus have become the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s gossip and slander, 4 therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God and what the Lord God says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns which have been plundered and have become a source of ridicule to the surrounding nations.

2 This is what the Sovereign Lord says:(A) The enemy said of you, “Aha!(B) The ancient heights(C) have become our possession.(D)”’ 3 Therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged(E) and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander,(F) 4 therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Lord: This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys,(G) to the desolate ruins(H) and the deserted(I) towns that have been plundered and ridiculed(J) by the rest of the nations around you(K)—
