³¹ So My people come to you in crowds,^[a] sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Although they express love with their mouths, their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

²¹ For from within, out of people’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immoralities,^(A) thefts, murders,^(B)

²² adulteries,^(A) greed,^(B) evil actions, deceit,^(C) promiscuity,^(D) stinginess,^[a] blasphemy,^(E) pride,^(F) and foolishness.^(G)

¹⁵ He then told them, “Watch out and be on guard^(A) against all greed^(B) because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.”^(C)

⁵ Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.^(A)[a]
