Ezekiel 32:12-14

New International Version

¹²I will cause your hordes to fall
    by the swords of mighty men—
    the most ruthless of all nations.^(A)
They will shatter the pride of Egypt,
    and all her hordes will be overthrown.^(B)
¹³I will destroy all her cattle
    from beside abundant waters
no longer to be stirred by the foot of man
    or muddied by the hooves of cattle.^(C)
¹⁴Then I will let her waters settle
    and make her streams flow like oil,
declares the Sovereign Lord.

¹²By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

¹³I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

¹⁴Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord God.

^(C)“They shall bring to ruin the pride of Egypt,
    and all its multitude^[a] shall perish.
¹³I will destroy all its beasts
    from beside many waters;
^(D)and no foot of man shall trouble them anymore,
    nor shall the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
¹⁴Then ^(E)I will make their waters clear,
    and cause their rivers to run like oil,
