¹⁴ “and that she increased her fornications. For when she saw men painted upon the wall—the images of the Chaldeans painted with vermilion

¹⁵ “and girded with girdles upon their loins, and with dyed attire upon their heads (all looking like princes, after the manner of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their nativity) —

¹⁶ “as soon, I say, as she saw them, she lusted after them, and sent messengers to them, into Chaldea.
