Ezekiel 20:17-19

¹⁷ Yet My eye [looked on them with compassion and] spared them instead of destroying them, and I did not annihilate them in the wilderness.

¹⁸ “But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers nor observe their ordinances nor defile yourselves with their idols. ¹⁹ I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and observe them.
