13 Now the vine is planted in the wilderness where the ground is hard and dry. 14 It is decaying from within;[a] no strong branch remains. The fulfillment of this sad prophecy has already begun, and there is more ahead.”

in a dry and thirsty land.(B)
14 Fire spread from one of its main[a] branches

No strong branch is left on it
fit for a ruler’s scepter.’(D)
