^5 [a]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘^(A)Extend your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the ^[b]streams, and over the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’”

⁶ So Aaron extended his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the ^[a](A)frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

The Plague of Insects

¹⁶ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Extend your staff and strike the dust of the earth, so that it may turn into ^[a]gnats through all the land of Egypt.’”

²² Now the Lord said to Moses, “Reach out with your hand toward the sky, so that ^[a](A)hail may fall on all the land of Egypt, on every person and animal, and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”

¹² Then the Lord said to Moses, “^(A)Reach out with your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, so that they may come up on the land of Egypt and ^(B)eat every plant of the land, everything that the hail has left.”

Darkness over the Land

²¹ Then the Lord said to Moses, “^(A)Reach out with your hand toward the sky, so that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness ^(B)which may be felt.”

^21 (A)Then Moses reached out with his hand over the sea; and the Lord ^[a]swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into ^(B)dry land, and ^(C)the waters were divided.

²⁶ Then the Lord said to Moses, “^(A)Reach out with your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen.”
