¹¹ Thus ^(A)Yahweh used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. Then ^[a]Moses would return to the camp, and ^(B)his attendant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.

1 Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of ^[a]Yahweh, that Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ ^[b]attendant, saying,
