Exodus 32:6-8

⁶ So, they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. Also, the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

⁷ Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go down. For your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted their ways.

⁸ “They are soon turned out of the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten calf and have worshipped it, and have made offerings to it, saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”
