⁷ And the Lord said, “I have certainly ^(A)seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.

The Mission of Moses

¹⁰ And now come, and I will send you to Pharaoh, ^(A)so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Israel’s Labor Increased

5 And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, “^(A)This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: ‘^(B)Let My people go so that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.’”

¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians talk, saying, ‘With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people.

^14 (A)So the Lord relented of the harm which He said He would do to His people.

^26 (A)And I prayed to the Lord and said, ‘Lord God, do not destroy Your people, Your inheritance, whom You have redeemed through Your greatness, whom You have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand!

²⁹ Yet they are Your people, and ^(A)Your inheritance, whom You brought out by Your ^(B)great power and Your outstretched arm.’
