⁴³ Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting^(A) or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place,^(B) so that they will not incur guilt and die.^(C)

“This is to be a lasting ordinance^(D) for Aaron and his descendants.

⁵¹ Whenever the tabernacle^(A) is to move,^(B) the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it.^(C) Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death.^(D)

⁶ When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of^(A) the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled.

⁷ The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act;^(A) therefore God struck him down,^(B) and he died there beside the ark of God.
