²⁷ “I will cause the people ahead of you to feel terror^[a] and will throw into confusion^(A) all the nations you come to. I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you in retreat.^[b]

⁹ and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land^(A) and that the terror of you has fallen on us,^(B) and everyone who lives in the land is panicking because of you.^[a](C)
