²³ Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel ^(A)groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and ^(B)their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.

¹⁰ As Pharaoh approached, the sons of Israel ^[a]looked, and behold, the Egyptians were coming after them, and they became very frightened; ^(A)so the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord.
