⁵ Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant,^(A) you will be my own possession^(B) out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine, ⁶ and you will be my kingdom of priests and my holy nation.’^(C) These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God,^(A) so you must consecrate yourselves^(B) and be holy because I am holy.^(C) Do not defile yourselves by any swarming creature that crawls on the ground. ⁴⁵ For I am the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God,^(D) so you must be holy because I am holy.^(E)
