Bread from Heaven

16 The whole congregation of the Israelites set out from Elim and came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had departed from the land of Egypt.^(A)

¹⁰ They set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.^{[a] 11} They set out from the Red Sea^[b] and camped in the wilderness of Sin.^{(A) 12} They set out from the wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

Water from the Rock

17 From the wilderness of Sin the whole congregation of the Israelites journeyed by stages, as the Lord commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.^(A)

²⁷ Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there by the water.^(A)
