^23 (A)For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the ^(B)blood on the ^[a]lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and ^(C)not allow ^(D)the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

^16 (A)And when the ^[a]angel stretched out His hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, ^(B)the Lord relented from the destruction, and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “It is enough; now restrain your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of ^[b]Araunah the Jebusite.

¹⁵ And God sent ^[a]an ^(A)angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As ^[b]he was destroying, the Lord looked and ^(B)relented of the disaster, and said to the angel who was destroying, “It is enough; now restrain ^[c]your hand.” And the angel of the Lord stood by the ^(C)threshing floor of ^[d]Ornan the Jebusite.

²⁸ By faith ^(A)he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
