² and ^(A)that you may tell in the ^[a]presence of your son, and of your grandson, how I made a mockery of the Egyptians and how I ^[b]performed My signs among them, ^(B)so that you may know that I am the Lord.”

^26 (A)And when your children say to you, ‘^[a]What does this rite mean to you?’

²⁷ then you shall say, ‘It is a Passover sacrifice to ^(A)the Lord because He passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians, but ^[a]spared our homes.’” ^(B)And the people bowed low and worshiped.

⁸ And ^(A)you shall tell your son on that day, saying, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’

²⁰ “^(A)When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What do the provisions and the statutes and the judgments mean which the Lord our God commanded you?’

^6 [a]This shall be a sign among you; ^(A)when your children ask ^[b]later, saying, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’

²¹ And he said to the sons of ^[a]Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What are these stones?’
