¹⁹ Then the Lord changed the wind to a strong west^[a] wind, and it carried off the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea.^(A) Not a single locust was left in all the territory of Egypt.

¹⁸ So he led the people around toward the Red Sea along the road of the wilderness. And the Israelites left the land of Egypt in battle formation.^(A)

Water Provided

²² Then Moses led Israel on from the Red Sea, and they went out to the Wilderness of Shur. They journeyed for three days in the wilderness without finding water.

³¹ I will set your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea,^[a] and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River.^[b] For I will place the inhabitants of the land under your control, and you will drive them out ahead of you.^(A)

⁴ Then they set out from Mount Hor by way of the Red Sea to bypass the land of Edom, but the people became impatient because of the journey.
